I strongly believe in owning and living with art, and I think handmade ceramics are the perfect gateway into that for most people. A handmade mug will run you about $50, which is a lot of money when you are used to purchasing mugs for $12 at a gift shop, but is much cheaper than buying a painting, or a quilt, or a drawing.
